What We’re
All About
Toddlers To Scholars is committed to preventing unresolved social and emotional issues in children in order to produce good humans, future adults.
SCHOOL READINESS
School readiness is more than learning letters and numbers. School readiness involves early environments, early education, family and community. Children may be born ready to learn, but they are not innately ready for school. Their skills and development are strongly influenced by their families, their interactions with other people, and their environments prior to coming to school.

Toddlers To Scholars recognizes early childhood development as a vital stage in the growth of a fully realized emotionally secure adult. Children are the seeds of future generations. Trained caregivers are able to identify unresolved social and emotional issues to meet the needs of each child and create a beneficial environment where a child can feel safe, emotionally secure and ready to learn.

Hello!
My name is Mark Rutherford
10+ year owner of Toddlers To Scholars, LLC.
I was born and raised in Miami, Fl. After graduating high school I joined the United States Navy. I served four years during the Persian Gulf conflict as well as Desert Storm. I was honorably discharged in 1992. I moved to California in 2003 where I had my daughter, London. She became my entire world from the minute she opened her eyes.
I was able to secure a job in Information Technology working with EDS, now Hewlett Packard where I am still employed today.
Unfortunately, I was placed in a situation where I would end up being her sole provider and guardian, as a single father. I took on the role assuredly, by pledging from that moment on to give her a better life, and most importantly, a solid education. This is why I started Toddlers To Scholars.
I began my daycare almost 10 years ago, and started off with taking care of the kids of the neighborhood. I learned a lot from taking on the responsibility of children, and I made it my mission to uplift not only the future generations, but to help parents in learning and understanding how to be the best in their role in their children's lives.
